Hello my name is Shane Sheppard and I have been a film student, marketing man, web designer but my love has always been writing and creating something wonderful.
A Talk In The Park is a labour of love web series that completely focuses on the humour, frustration and the tragedy of life. Set on one park bench we get a brief but telling snapshot in to some very real characters lives.
Six, ten minute episodes released over six weeks on You Tube & Vimeo -
(Backers £10+ will watch the whole series before release on YouTube/Vimeo)
The production is based in Somerset, UK a place where fictional content very rarely gets made. We want to change that by allowing South West actors and crew members a chance to shoot something in the beautiful and underrated surroundings we grew up in and around.
With your help we plan on making this wonderful dialogue heavy and emotive project here in Somerset, and with the same money continue to make a whole collection of web shows with the equipment you would be providing us with.
Hopefully A Talk In The Park is the first production of many to be made in the South West and gives a fantastic starting point for struggling Filmmakers, Actors, Actresses, Musicians, Writers, Creatives and the like.
The equipment would be used in between shoots commercially to raise money for the next local project, to create an artistic sustainable creative regional community project for adults.
We need around £5000 to start our vision:
Myself and the crew will not be paid, as it's a labour of love and a starting point.
Auditioning space to help us choose the perfect local talent for the series.
Paying the Actors and Actresses in A Talk In the Park, as many of them are under payed and struggling artists including travel expenses and lunch.
Buying production equipment such as a good quality camera and lenses, lighting and sound equipment etc. for future use as well as A Talk In The Park...
Our rewards are designed so you get the most out of our small production and get to see the whole series before it goes live on You Tube and Vimeo. You can get a shout out and thanks from us or even get a production credit for really digging deep.
By helping us make A Talk In The Park you are not only helping us make a web series, you will be helping us with:
If we don't meet our target we will begin to seek funds elsewhere... We won't give up!!
However the money made here on Fundsurfer will still go to towards the project and will stay there until sufficient funds are made by other means.
If you have ever visited the south west like Somerset, Devon and Cornwall why not give a platform to the talent that lives here.
Get the word out about are little web series project, and we can continue to make some really interesting fictional content here in the South West.
By sharing this page and talking about the project, It's the same as giving us a pound, we will give you a thank you and a shout out right back.
