This project was unsuccessful

This film short follows the plight of an intrepid private investigator on a mission that ends up unraveling the very fabric of the story itself.

A little about the film

“Zero-Player” follows the plight of an intrepid private investigator on a mission that ends up unraveling the very fabric of the story itself. In exploring themes of metaphysical and psychological horror, this short grounds the protagonist in a journey of discovery mixed with the occult and surreal.

A little about us

Despite the psychological horror genre of our film, our team is full of absolute sweethearts :)
At the helm of the ship, we have our captain and director, Tom, and our full cast and crew members who braved the challenges of the pandemic to put together this special project. Below are a few brief words from the Director on the inspiration behind this film and the process of shooting it.

A little about our journey

Putting together this short film has been a labor of love over the past 2 years, but It’s never easy shooting scenes in the middle of a pandemic. The production was no stranger to the usual challenges of an indie project. Cast/Crew dropping out on the day of the shoot; key equipment breaking down mid-shoot (with no replacements), freezing temperatures on location (like in an unheated warehouse in the middle of winter), and more. Needless to say, a lot of improvisation and on-the-fly decision-making was involved to make it through.

A little about how you can support

We have an ambitious lineup of 165 film festivals across the globe to which we are preparing to submit our short film. Below is a helpful breakdown of where these festivals are and how much the applications will cost.

Please follow this link to access this tracker and stay up to date with our latest festival applications and results: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UJGGWWttbMsimAJFfIsFT7F9ka6CLvlkkOYPdp7bcao/edit?usp=sharing

We would love your help to reach this goal in order to apply to those festivals, and we have prepared special perks for our backers detailed below
