Calais Refugee Solidarity Bristol has acquired a Pop-Up Shop in North street, BS3..

We are fitting it out tomorrow and making it look all pretty and Xmassy. It will be full of the not-needed-goods -in-Calais and there are some real bargains !

There will be artworks and crafts from Bristol artists and designers alongside films, slideshows and speakers about the Refugee crisis.

Latest update!

We'd like to say a huge thank you to the Bishopston Bayou Band for throwing a fantastic benefit gig last Thursday. There was an amazing turn out and everyone's efforts resulted in a grand total of £820 being raised!!! This will be a huge help in enabling us to provide some relief to some of the 7500 people having to live in the most awful conditions this winter.

Latest update!

Hi everyone!

Amazing to nearly have hit 9K. Thanks and keep sharing the project so we can push up to 10K which is our next big milestone.

Our next PUBLIC MEETING will be held next Tuesday 20th October at 7.30pm @ The Palestine Museum, 27, Broad Street, Bristol.

We'd really like to see you there and we have lots to tell you about our Week of Action, our pop-up shop in Stokes Croft, our November convoy to Calais, volunteering opportunities (both in Bristol & Calais) and the latest fundraising & campaign efforts.

Thanks for your support!

National press interest, 20+ tonnes of supplies and nearly £6000 raised in cash donations!!!

So the past week has been CRAZY! Lots of press interest about the support for the Calais Refugees from Bristol and the rest of the UK.

We still need donations via the crowdfunding project, so if all 277 supporters could please take a little time to write a short, direct email to your address book and send them this link -

£4,536 raised from 230 backers in less than a week!

Something is happening! It feels as though this is about more than a charitable drive to help the Calais Refugees, the whole Country is mobilising to help.

There is a real sense of 'If the governments won't help, we will do it ourselves' gathering momentum and we are receiving emails from across the country to help, find out more.

There has also been national press interest from the Guardian and Independent with local press picking up the story as well.
