Makala Cheung is a Singer, Songwriter, Producer from Knowle West, Bristol, UK. Makala makes Electronic Pop with a Chinese twist, and Urban influences.

Following 3 EPs and debut album River (Bristol Live Magazine's album of the month), Cheung’s second album ‘Moon’ was released for Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival 2015 at her own Mini Moon Festival. Her singles have featured on many stations including BBC 1Xtra and BBC Introducing in the West. Her single FIRE made no.1 in UJima FMs South West Chart Show.

Makala's performed many headline / main stage slots in 2015-17, with her live electronic band. Previous performances include, Redfest, Brisfest, Keynsham Festival, Harbourside Festival, Bristol Balloon Fiesta.

Makala’s influences include M.I.A, FKA Twigs, and Aaliyah. Referred to as reminiscent of Kate Bush, Makala is also a Bristol Woman cover girl and a Bristol Happiness Champion.
