Hydra

Hydra is a community bookshop, coffee shop, music venue and meeting/event space in the heart of Old Market in central Bristol. As well as stocking  literature on a wide range of subjects, Hydra also serves coffee grown by the Zapatistas in Mexico, a selection of organic teas, chocolates and flapjacks.

Run by local people as a workers co-operative, the shop grew out of Bristol Radical History Group and similar networks across the city. We also run events and aim to be a place where people can come meet and chat, read, play chess and drink coffee.
