Founded in 2011, the Bedminster Winter Lantern Parade Project celebrates the creativity, inclusivity and the wonderful spirit of BS3 by bringing together people from across all ages and walks of life to take part in south Bristol’s biggest community event.

Every autumn, our artists work with local schools and community groups across Bedminster to create amazing lanterns which light up the dark in a spectacular procession of around 1,500 members of the community, in a celebration of the close-knit, inclusive and supportive spirit that is BS3.

But we need your help to make it a reality this year

Our volunteers are working hard to find sponsors and supporters from local businesses, but we need your help to get us to the £26k we need to raise to make the project happen.  And without you, we might not make it.

The big ask….

We need to raise £2,000 by the 4th February 2023, so we can give the go-ahead to the committee and get the ball rolling on the 11th Bedminster Winter Lantern Parade.

Your support, however large or small, will go towards to the artists and materials for the schools and community groups, so when Parade Day hits you will have been directly responsible for bringing the creativity and joy to BS3 that day.

And that’s a brilliant thing.
