We are a Somali-based community group called Bristol Somali women group. We are raising money for the crisis in East Africa.
6.2 million people half of Somalia population need urgent humanitarian help.Somalia is experiencing its worst drought in 25 years.The world faces the largest humanitarian crisis since the united nations was founded in 1945 .Both in Kenya and Somalia government have declared national disaster.
Acute drought in many parts of Somalia has reduced the availability of clean water resources and food crisis has given way to malnutrition and spread of epidemic prone diseases.
The malnutrition is so pronounced that some adults are too weak to walk and some communities have lost all their toddlers.Hundreds of people have already lost their lives, so far the response has been lacking funds and coordination without collective and coordinated global efforts people will simply starve to death.
With your help we will be able to provide food and water to areas that are hard to reach and also offer much needed medical help.
