THE HUMANITEA CAFE

The Humanitea is an idea by single Mum of 2, Sarah Jade.

After many attempts at helping people on the streets with donated clothing, food and hot water bottles, she decided a central point in the city where food and clothes were available in a cosy environment would be much easier!

The project recognises that not only is homelessness increasing in Bristol, but the number of people wanting to help is too. The cafe will be a space where social isolation can be left at the door and dignity will take its place. People can help simply by purchasing lunch and handing their token to someone in need, volunteering in one of the cafe roles or attending one of our social groups in the evening. 

We want a space where everyone feels included and apart of something new and forward thinking. Stigmas surrounding poverty need to be broken. We believe this space will do that.
