Steve Timmins

Personal: I am one of the baby boomers and I grew up secure in the knowledge that our National Health Service was free at the point of need. It has saved my life once and patched up various bits of me on numerous occasions, each time with care and professionalism. The NHS is part of our DNA and we must fight to stop it being sold off.

Professional: I trained at Granada TV and the BBC and became an Executive Producer at ITV’s Central region. I left to become one of the first independent producers to work for Channel 4, returning to work for the BBC as a Senior Producer. I worked as an Independent Producer for 10 years where we launched the UK’s first national cable TV channel. I was then appointed CEO of Einstein Channel plc and led the Company through its IPO. Since 2005 I have been developing music brands starting with the acquisition of the Performance Channel, which led through to the development of Classic Rock brands from 2009.
